The dish: Milk and Honey has a decidedly swanky metropolitan feel and a sexy, dimly lit atmosphere right off State Street. Tapas are meant for sharing alongside freshly squeezed fruit juice cocktails such as coconut mojitos and grapefruit, lychee, and blood orange martinis. Heavy flavors grace the tapas menu with tequila chipotle infusions, chili-garlic sauces, and chorizo. A tight interior accommodates a small bar and a compact array of two and four top tables that are often pulled together. Street side tables are set up next to a gas-lit fireplace, framed by the draped glass windows that peek inside the restaurant. Date with a Pig is their creatively named version of Serrano wrapped dates. A deep bowl of tequila tofu is a favorite, as well as the avocado hummus plate, green apple and brie quesadillas, and chipotle shrimp.

Had a good meal here on our last night in Santa Barbara, the food is very good and the place gets packed out. We ended up sitting outside as only available seats. The food and cocktails were very good the service was good also, we were Great place for tapas, varied menu for both food and drinks. Very lively, sociable vibe, means you may have to talk a bit louder than normal, however, worth it. Nice drinks menu, cocktails, and the usual fare.

Organic mixed greens, tomatoes, goat cheese, shallots; Muscat champagne vinaigrette. Beets, arugula, goat cheese, green apple slices, candied walnuts, Muscat champagne vinaigrette. Sirloin sliders, peanut butter, raspberry jam, Applewood smoked bacon. Raw sashimi-grade ahi tuna, fresh lemon, ginger, sea salt, jalapeno, fried shallots, crispy wonton chips. Oven roasted chicken enchiladas, pasilla chiles, onions; roasted tomatillo cream sauce.

Started by chef and restauranteur Alvaro Rojas just over 8 years ago, Milk and Honey playfully combines the small town comfo rts of Santa Barbara with the atmosphere of a restaurant in a more metropolitan city. Milk and Honey has an extensive menu, with many options to satiate anyones cravings- and also boasts a budget-friendly happy hour from Monday-Satruday. The restaurant itself features a small outdoor dog-friendly patio with a fireplace and heaters, and a small interior dining room with deep red walls, candles on each table, a hand made bar and banquette seating, as well as a projector playing old cartoons above the bar.
